Support Our Lenten Mission Organizations

As part of our Lenten observance, the St. Paul's Outreach team is gathering gifts in support of local charitable organizations that assist persons in need. Three different organizations have been identified for our support.

Please review the following lists of needed gifts and keep them in mind as you do your everyday shopping. A basket has been placed in front of the altar to collect our donations.

Thank you for generously supporting those persons near us in distress or need.

March 8 Collection

Gifts will be given to Pegasus House in Lawrence, MA. Pegasus House provides residential addiction treatment and recovery services for females between the ages of 18-25.

Requested Gifts: Full-sized toiletries, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, and shower products.

March 15 Collection

Gifts will be given to HAWC (Healing Abuse Working for Change), a Massachusetts organization assisting those individuals and families affected by domestic violence.

Requested Gifts: HAWC has specific age-appropriate requests for individual items for the HAWC shelter, which are listed on a sign-up sheet in the Great Room. Please sign up to purchase a specifically requested gift.

March 22 Collection

Gifts will be given to St. Stephen’s Food Pantry in Lynn, MA, which provides food to the hungry, including those threatened by homelessness.

Requested Gifts: Single-serving oatmeal and cereals (boxes); single-serving juice drinks, snacks, energy bars; canned meat, poultry, tuna, stews,  chilis, and hearty soups. Individual servings are easier and lighter to carry for persons experiencing homelessness. Especially helpful are canned items that do not require a can opener.

Also, reusable shopping bags are useful, especially cloth ones.
