BAPTISMS

Baptism is the full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ's Body, the church and can be for people for any age, not just infants. The baptismal promises are made for infants by their parents or sponsors (Godparents).

Baptism is especially appropriate at the Easter Vigil (the evening before Easter Day), the Day of Pentecost (50 days after Easter), All Saint's Day (the Sunday closest to November 1), and the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (the First Sunday after the Epiphany, January 6).

If you are interested in Baptism for a child or for yourself, please contact the church office.  We ask parents to complete a Baptism information form and encourage them to visit with our Rector before the scheduled Baptismal service.   A brief rehearsal will take place before the service.
